I often wonder how much farther down LeBlanc can dig into his hole. Then he posts something like this and i realise now how foolish I was to believe his bigotry and ignorance had limits. I was going to agree with the first comment, but its really more complicated than that. I'm not sure many people actually put much empathy into their reading, so if you just 'write off' charles as being crazy, then really what makes you any different than those who will mindlessly cheer him on?
We really don't accept the notion of 'following orders' by members of institutions, police OR military. Many german soldiers got the death penalty for 'just following orders'. So these is SOMETHING to be said for the fact that those officers who crossed charles can't just hide behind 'I was just following orders'. And if the worst that happens to them is they are despised by Charles, then they should be lucky.
As for the public, I'd like to at least think that the police now know that virtually anything they do that is 'out of line' will be blown out of proportion, which hopefully will serve to make better policing in Fredericton.
My biggest problem (yeah, here it is again) with Charles is not that he is so strident with the police who he's interacted with, but that he completely ignores those who make the rules in the first place. Heck, he practically campaigns for Alward, who is the main person who can actually do something about it.
However, even Bernard Richard's report says that "There is no denying that there is room for improvement in the way policing
services are delivered in Fredericton. Everyone agreed on that point." Its interesting that 'everyone agrees'-and since it was mainly police and lawyers that Richard was talking to, its not out of line to assume that 'everyone' is mostly people IN the system. If everyone IN the system agrees there is room for improvement, that gives a lot of credence to those OUTSIDE who maintain there is LOTS that need improvement.
Unfortunately, NO media has really followed up on any changes the police have made, and basically Charles rehashes the same stuff. In short, Charles frequently features 'the problem', but rarely talks about 'solutions'. That would be nice, but maybe thats just beyond him, and to be honest, thats really more than we should expect from one person.
I think Charles big problem is that he doesn't have a sense of humour. So when he TRIES to be funny it just comes out crazy. Not that he's trying to be funny, but this post would have been much better as satire than a tirade.
And I think it goes without saying that that cop who played jesus only escapes his wrath because he wasn't on duty during those times when Charles was arrested.

Your comments about people, not just members of the police force and government officials, certainly do point to you being very racist. As I read your previous posts I see more and more hate and crude comments towards people. I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU !

I admired Bernard even though he was a liberals and I mention liberals because as you know most liberals are there to make themselves millionaires on the back of NB taxpayers.
I had heard good things about him but he is one that I would expect a better informed report than what most liberals would do? I am surprised but then he was a liberal.
Make sure the next report is done by someone connected to the Conservatives. Better chance of getting accurate report I hope.
Bernard should have at least talked with you or the least reviewed his report before officially saying it is complete.

May I add, I do hope there is a code of conduct for police officers where it states when a superior gives an order that violates a known law then all officers are obligated to stand off.
Targeting an individual who poses no threat to anyone like a blogger.
Police officers are to protect citizens from the bad people and not be the bad person.
I understand there are many good officers but the way the situation with the blogger how many more are being treated like manner?
Who are those giving these orders? They are the ones that should be accountable!

Strongly disagree. We do expect police and military to follow orders.
The problem isn't in following orders as Must be done in any para-military organization.
The real issue is what principles the orders are based on.
One either obeys the orders, or refuses and removes themselves from the organization by quitting or resigning. Potentially there is a mechanism in place to address future potential issues, but that is not and never should be while performing duties, aka orders. There is no grey area allowed. Changes can and must only be made at the uppermost of levels. There is a time and place to question policy, it isn't while being given orders to follow.
The same actually applies not just to police or military, but any employment situation. Do as you are told, when you are told. Know ahead of time what your duties and orders will and can be, address them, as in issues, then, not while carrying out the duties or orders. If you don't like it quit.
Charles you need to get some professional help ! You have turned what could have been a good blog for actually help people to your own "soap box". You have now sucessfully reached rock bottom. Your comments are rude, crude and very insulting. Before you rant on your blog, you should read first what you are typing and then sit back and think how your words are going to effect people before you post.
