Two girls picked me up and away we went to see the famous Christmas Light show!!! We arrived there before dark because we wanted to beat the huge traffic.
The show began and the first song was Frosty the Snowman!!! It was great.
I heard that thousands of people visited this beautiful light show and something told me not to bother the owners of the house.
But my Journalistic Gene cells told me to go!!!
I told the girls that I would be right back.
While walking towards the home, a couple was also admiring the show. The woman looked at me and said - CHARLES!!!!! < En Francais >
It was a woman named - Claire!!!
I haven't seen Claire in 40 years!!! She's from my home town!!! Small world eh???
I decided to say Good Bye and continue to the home so I can get an interview with the Owner of the Light show.
Hey...Got to meet an old friend so all is good! Nothing could go wrong!!!
I knocked at the door but no answer....I rang the door bell....and nothing....
I stepped down the steps and a woman answered the door.....
I didn't have my Blogger outfit on so I had to explain that I was a blogger and would love to do an interview with her husband....
She told me to wait and shut the door...
Minutes later, the husband opened the door and welcomed me inside their home....
I said - My Name is Charles LeBlanc and I'm a Blogger from Fredericton!
The guy replied - OHHHHHHHHHHH.......
I expected to hear Ohhhhhhh,,You're the famous Blogger!!!! < Sure is hard to be a celebrity these days >
He replied - You're the Anti-Quebecois guy!!!!
Ohhhhh Boy???? Here we go!!!
This guy was well built and around 6,4 tall!!! I said to myself - What the hell is going to happened here?
Here's the guy who claim to be the New Brunswicker who hates Quebecois the most and there he is right in his little home???
Is the guy going to attack me while the girls in the cars sings to the Christmas Songs while enjoying the show?? They wouldn't be able to hear the Blogger shouting for Help!!!!
lol
At the end, the guy name is Danny and he made himself very clear that he's sick and tired of people from both side in Quebec and New Brunswick fighting among each other.
All he wants is peace!!!!
Well after a little coaching Danny step outside for an interview.
Before I show the interview? I wished to say that Danny told me a couple of sad but good stories when the camera was off.
One was a Father who thanked him for the show because his three year old son who has cancer is really enjoying the show from the car.
Danny told me that he could have ripped his heart from his own body.....Sad...but if the light show made the kid happy??? It was well worth it!!!
Another sad but happy story was a father who thanked Danny was the fine show because his severe Autistic child is in the car and it was the first time in 6 years they saw him smiled!!!
Here's the interview -
Here's a show from the car -
There should be more People like Quebecois Danny and his beautiful wife from Tracy!!!
They will raised over 10,000 bucks for to make a wish for the kid foundation!!!!
Do you mind giving me information about that building, please? I have been fascinated by it for a long time and have never been able to learn anything about it. When did it stop being the Colonial Inn? How is it different? Who lives there? Anything at all you can tell me would be greatly appreciated. Your blog keeps me informed about Fredericton better than the newspapers or radio. Thank you.
