The next election could be a very difficult one for Premier Shawn Graham.

Parents Are The Last To Know: Had To Find Out Through The Media

We heard from a reporter that he received the Minister of Education, Roland Hache's press release announcing that Transport Canada was considering tests on the MFAVs at 11 am this morning.

We also heard from a student at the Community College that he received the press release at 12:11 pm.

Meanwhile, we, the parents who have been fighting to have these vehicles tested by the province of New Brunswick for nearly three months, and who were promised in writing and in person by the Minister of Education that we would be kept informed of any developments with Transport Canada, had the privelege of receiving the official notification from the Minister of Education at 12:58 pm.

The last to know.

No wonder we can't trust these people.

I am writing in response to your December 16, 2009 request for the loan of a 21-passenger Multi-Function Activity Bus (MFAB); your e-mail dated Jan7, 2010; and in follow up to commitments I made at our Nov. 16, 2009 meeting at my office in Petit Rocher.

As you may recall, the issue of testing came up at our meeting. At that time, we discussed that that Transport Canada is the body responsible for the development of regulations and national standards, as well as for the implementation of monitoring, testing, inspections for transportation in Canada.

As I promised you at that meeting, Transport Canada has been contacted and I am very pleased to be able to tell you that Transport Canada has agreed to examine the option of testing to determine which the safest tires are for MFABs. We have advised Transport Canada that we are prepared to work with them in this regard. As a result, I will not be granting your request for the use of one of our MFABs for testing.

In the meantime, the Province will continue with its current policy of having two winter tires on the back and two ribbed tires on the front of MVABs that we use primarily for travel between cities on highways, as recommended by expert consultant David Hoar and supported by two leading tire companies.

In closing, I want to assure you that we will continue to work with Transport Canada on issues regarding safe transportation of our students.

Crossing Guard on Montgomery Street in Fredericton hit by vehicle!!!

Hi Charles.

Not sure what the situation is, but I was just informed by the crossing guard at Nashwaaksis Memorial school that the Montgomery Street crossing guard was hit by a car today. People need to learn that when approaching any crosswalk - especially school cross walks - that they need to stop and allow the pedestrians to cross.

Even today, AFTER Randy pushed the signal light and started his way to the center of the street (Main Street) drivers were still driving right through without slowing down or anything. This is also a notice to inform that these careless drivers should expect to have stones thrown at their vehicles should they be doing such things.


UPDATE - I guess the driver was blinded by the morning rising sun....

I am over 60 and the Armed Forces thinks I'm too old to track down terrorists. You can't be older than 42 to join the military. They've got the whole thing ass-backwards. Instead of sending 18-year olds off to fight, they ought to take us old guys. You shouldn't be able to join a military unit until you're at least 35.

For starters: Researchers say 18-year-olds think about sex every 10 seconds. Old guys only think about sex a couple of times a day, leaving us more than 28,000 additional seconds per day to concentrate on the enemy.

Young guys haven't lived long enough to be cranky, and a cranky soldier is a dangerous soldier. 'My back hurts! I can't sleep, I'm tired and hungry.' We are impatient and maybe letting us kill some asshole that desperately deserves it will make us feel better and shut us up for a while..

An 18-year-old doesn't even like to get up before 10 a.m. Old guys always get up early to pee so what the hell. Besides, like I said, 'I'm tired and can't sleep and since I'm already up, I may as well be up killing some fanatical guy.


If captured we couldn't spill the beans because we'd forget where we put them. In fact, name, rank, and serial number would be a real brainteaser.

Boot camp would be easier for old guys.. We're used to getting screamed and yelled at and we're used to soft food. We've also developed an appreciation for guns. We've been using them for years as an excuse to get out of the house, away from the screaming and yelling.


They could lighten up on the obstacle course however. I've been in combat and didn't see a single 20-foot wall with rope hanging over the side, nor did I ever do any pushups after completing basic training.

Actually, the running part is kind of a waste of energy, too. I've never seen anyone outrun a bullet.

An 18-year-old has the whole world ahead of him. He's still learning to shave, to start up a conversation with a pretty girl. He still hasn't figured out that a baseball cap has a brim to shade his eyes, not the back of his head.

These are all great reasons to keep our kids at home to learn a little more about life before sending them off into harm's way..

Let us old guys track down those dirty rotten coward terrorists. The last thing an enemy would want to see is a couple of million pissed off old farts with attitudes and automatic weapons who know that their best years are already behind them.

***How about recruiting Women over 50 ...in menopause!!! You think Men have attitudes !!! Ohhhhhhhhhhhh my God!!!
If nothing else, put them on border patrol.... They will have it secured the first night!

The only one single good thing of the Disastrous Earthquake in Haiti is the Presidential Palace was destroyed!!!

Acadians always had a close ties with Haiti. One of the big supporters of this very poor Country was Father Brien.

On many occasions during a Church service, he would talk about Haiti.





He would always remind the people in the Church that Haiti is a very poor country and they need much needed money.

I had many debate with the near Saint Priest about Haiti.





It was no use sending money to that country because it has a very bad History of Dictators.

Especially with former dictators such as Jean-Claude Duvalier (nicknamed Bébé Doc or Baby Doc)

The Priest told me Les confrères de Sainte-Croix are making certain the money goes to les Pauvres!!!

This is a good thing and many organizations were well aware the money will not go to the people in need.

This is the reason they set up shop in the poor neighborhood in Haiti.

One individual told me - My God??? All you hear on the News is Haiti...Haiti and Haiti!!!

My answer- I hope we hear about Haiti for the next few years.

Haiti will and must start all over again!!!!

It has to be leveled and proper living quarters must be built so it could stand the next Earthquake.

Yes, the only good thing is the Presidential Palace is gone and maybe the next building will not be a Palace but a regular Government building.

Countries around the world must make certain the money goes directly to the building of Haiti and not to a Dictator bank account in a Swiss Bank!!!

We will never change the style of Government in Afghanistan but we can do it in Haiti.

I pray that all the countries will stay in Haiti for years and years to come.

Maybe? Just maybe a better world awaits Le pays de Haiti. A better world the Haitians never had for the last 200 years.

That was in March from last year and this week while walking towards the New Brunswick Legislature to cover the NB Power Protest I was once again approached by two Police Officers.




The officers were nice but I was surprised by the question? Such as - Do you understand the reason that you're ban for life from the New Brunswick Legislature?

I quickly change my weapon...oppppssss I meant my camera to video.

I stayed calm and didn't walk into their questions.

I once again told the officers that the only reason I know that I'm ban is because of the murder of a young girl. < Was told to me by Kelly Lamrock >

The officers went inside the Legislature to chat with Fascist Dan Bussieres.




Around 15 minutes later, I noticed the officers leaving the Legislature. I quickly change my camera to video. A strong supporter of this blog from Saint John came to chat with me. I didn't wish be ignorant but all of my ADHD brains were focusing on the Cops.
